The pineapple salad looks like the pineapple and ham dip made in Puerto Rico for parties called in Spanish bola de fuego or cerebrito 1 can of Spam, 1 bar of Cream cheese, 1 cup of pineapple preserves and mix al together and eat with ritz cracker

That’s not the traditional recipe. The traditional recipe only uses 4 ingredients: spam, cheez whiz, pimentos and white bread.
This is the version I was taught. You can do it to your liking.
Gracias por la receta- pero no son Arepas. Yo soy nacido y criado en Ponce, me mude a Humacao en 1993. Por experiencia propia te puedo decir que no es lo mismo. Nada que ver con el debate de Empanadilla vs. Pastelillos. La preparacion de los pastelillos y las arepas es diferente. El domplin es como un pan frito, por eso se puede rellenar.
Had to spice up our ground beef meals. I follow the instructions but…. Instead of ham seasoning I did 1 1/2 packs of sazon and I added a whole union. Served with avacado,fried plantains and mayo-ketchup for dipping… and elote lol Served my family and a guest…. Let’s just say everyone’s plate didn’t have a single grain left. 100% recommend this recipe and just burn it in your head.
Thanks for sharing your Recipe with us. As a 42yr old Purtorican man I still miss my Grandma's cooking. I'm not a professional cook but I do try to make dishes instead of spending money on outside food. Plus u can make as much as u want to eat 😂. Many Blessings to u. 👋😇

I have been following you now for several years. I saw the way you open up that Goya tomato sauce. I love the can opener. Where can I buy it or do you have the brand name of the can opener. All of my Boricua cooking is so much much better since I watched years ago on how to make picadillo and you added the ham/jamon packages to the picadillo recipe. thank you girl shout out from Los Angeles, California🎉❤😂

Try to avoid the Canola oil. You are better off using the "manteca animal" lard or corn oil. It's better for you and it improves the taste. Everything else I find awesome.
